ONTARIO, Calif. — 03/13/2026 — RE:CIRCLE Organics, a RE:CIRCLE Solutions company and a leader in organic waste recycling, diversion strategies and feed production, today announced it has surpassed 90% diversion of pre-consumer food waste, marking a significant operational milestone in the company’s efforts to reduce landfill dependency and advance circular resource recovery.

Based in Ontario, California, RE:CIRCLE Organics works with grocery retailers, food and beverage producers, and other partners across the food ecosystem to capture surplus and pre-consumer food waste and redirect it into productive uses rather than landfill. Through its integrated collection, processing, and repurposing operations, the company converts organic waste into higher-value outputs including animal feed, biofuel inputs, and other circular resources.

The milestone comes as California continues to implement SB 1383, the state’s landmark organic waste reduction law designed to significantly reduce methane emissions from landfills by requiring businesses and other generators to divert organic waste, including food waste, from disposal while expanding food recovery and recycling programs statewide.

The company has developed digital tools for customers to improve transparency and performance across the diversion process.

RE:CIRCLE Organics’ operating model focuses on recovering pre-consumer food waste from retailers, manufacturers, and food service providers and processing it through specialized depackaging and recycling systems. When suitable, materials are repurposed into animal feed products, while other organic streams are directed toward anaerobic digestion or other resource-recovery pathways.
